Add and reorder pages
Course Pages is where a course actually gets built. This picks up where Create a course left off: adding pages one at a time, editing what's already on them, and putting them in the order participants will see.
BEFORE YOU START
This assumes you already have a course open in the editor's Course Pages tab. If you haven't created one yet, start with Create a course first.
Add a page
Every page starts the same way, whatever it ends up holding.
Choose Add Page, then pick a type: Information Page, Multiple Choice Quiz, Ordering Quiz or Confirmation Page.
Enter the Page Title and choose Create Page. The new page is added to the end of the course, ready to be moved wherever you want it.
A COMMON MISTAKE
The page type can't be changed once it's created — the editor shows it as fixed, read-only text from then on. If you picked the wrong type, delete the page and add it again with the right one, rather than looking for a way to switch it.
Edit a page's content
Choose Edit on any page row to open it. What you fill in depends on the type.
On an Information Page, write the Content in the block editor — text, images, lists — up to 720px wide. Images come from the image library, so upload once and reuse everywhere.
On a Confirmation Page, the same content block sits above one extra field: Confirmation Text. It defaults to "I have read and understood this information." and appears next to a checkbox the participant must tick before the Next button unlocks.
Quiz and Ordering pages have their own fields for questions, answers and points — that's covered in Add questions and points.
Reorder pages
Participants move through pages top to bottom, so the order in the list is the order they'll experience.
Drag a page by its handle and drop it in the new position.
Choose Save Order. It stays greyed out until a drag actually moves something — clicking a page without dropping it elsewhere won't turn it on, and leaving the tab before saving throws the new arrangement away.
GOOD TO KNOW
Only Quiz and Ordering pages can carry the Scored badge. An Information or Confirmation page can never count toward the score, so if a piece of content needs points attached to it, build it as a Quiz page even if the "question" is really just a check that something was read.
Delete a page
Choose the trash icon on a page row and confirm Delete this page?
The dialog is short and doesn't spell out that the action is permanent, but it is — there's no bin to recover a page from afterwards. If you only want a page out of the way for now rather than gone for good, drag it to the end instead of deleting it.
