Set up bundle locations
A location is a place — a room, a site, a virtual desk — where participants check in and check out for a bundle. Each location gets its own login to a small admin portal, and can send an email the moment someone checks in. This walks through turning on attendance, adding a location, and what the daily auto-checkout does.
BEFORE YOU START
Attendance is a feature switched on per account. If the Attendance tab says "This feature has not been enabled in your account", it isn't turned on for you yet — contact support to have it enabled. You'll also need a bundle to attach locations to.
Turn on attendance for the bundle
Locations and check-in fields only appear once attendance itself is switched on for this particular bundle.
Open the bundle from Bundles, then its Attendance tab.
Toggle Enable Attendance Check-in on. The setting saves itself the moment you flip it. Until every required course in the bundle is passed, the check-in button on the participant's own dashboard stays locked regardless of this setting.
Add a location
The Attendance tab opens on the Locations sub-tab — the other, Check-in Fields, is covered in its own article.
Choose Add Location and give it a Name. This is what participants pick from a dropdown when they check in, so name it for the place, not the event — "Main Hall", not "Session 3".
Username and Password are optional, and are what unlock this location's own admin portal — a separate login, not your dashboard account. Both are stored and shown in plain text here, since it's a shared physical login for whoever staffs the location, not a personal password.
Description is optional, rich text. It appears to the participant right underneath the location dropdown once they pick it — good for parking instructions or a room number.
Turn on Email on check-in if this location should send a confirmation email the moment someone checks in there, then choose Create Location. Writing the email itself is covered in "Check-in confirmation emails".
Reach the location's own portal
Each saved location shows a Bundle Admin Login Page link and its own "Bundle login link for" that location — a participant login link with the location pre-selected via the URL, useful as a poster or a QR code at the physical spot. The admin portal itself is a separate sign-in, using the location's username and password rather than your dashboard account. See "Use the location admin portal" for what it shows once you're in.
GOOD TO KNOW
Print or paste each location's own "Bundle login link" where that location actually is — as a QR code taped to the door, say. Participants who follow it land on the bundle login with that location already selected on the check-in form, so nobody has to search a dropdown while a queue is waiting.
Set the daily auto-checkout hour
Above the Locations list, a separate setting applies to the whole bundle rather than one location.
Turn on Auto-logout and pick an hour. When enabled, everyone still checked in anywhere in the bundle is automatically checked out once a day, at that hour, in the client's local time zone.
Turn it on if participants tend to forget to check out; leave it off if you'd rather checkout times were always exact, even if that means chasing a few manual checkouts yourself.
A COMMON MISTAKE
The setting is labelled "Auto-logout", but it does not sign participants out of their dashboard session. It force-checks-out anyone still checked in at the hour you pick. If you're looking for a session timeout instead, that's a different setting elsewhere in the bundle.
If something isn't working
What next
Locations decide where a check-in happens. What information gets captured while it happens is a separate setting, right next to it.
