HELP / COURSES / SHARE A COURSE LINK

Share a course link

A published course can be reached two ways outside of a bundle: a public link anyone can register through, or a named access link generated for one specific participant. This covers where to find each and when to use it.

5 MIN READ UPDATED 4 AUG 2026 DASHBOARD → COURSES → RESULTS

BEFORE YOU START

Both links below only work while the course's Status is Published. An Archived course rejects both, even ones already sent out.

The public link

Every course has its own public link, built from a permanent identifier that's fixed for the life of that course.

1

On the Courses list, the title of a published course is itself the link — Open public course link is the tooltip you'll see hovering over it, and it opens in a new tab.

2

On the course's Results page, choose View Course to open the same link, or — before anyone has completed it yet — copy it directly from the text shown next to "Share the course link to start collecting results".

Anyone who opens it lands on the course's intro page and registers themselves with their name and email before starting. It's the right link for a public sign-up flow — a training day announced by email, a QR code on a poster, anything where you don't know who's coming in advance.

A direct access link for one participant

When you already know who someone is, skip registration altogether and send them a link that logs them straight in.

3

On the Results page, find the participant's row and choose the link icon — its tooltip reads Generate a direct access link (auto-login, valid 1 week). This only appears for someone who already has an attempt recorded for this course.

4

In the Direct Access Link modal that opens, choose Copy and send the link to that participant however you'd normally reach them.

Opening it logs the participant straight into the course under their own name and email — no form to fill in. It stays valid for a week, and asking for it again for the same person reuses the same link rather than generating a new one each time, so it's safe to hand out more than once.

A COMMON MISTAKE

Treating the access link as single-use. It isn't — anyone who has it can use it repeatedly until it expires. Only send it to the participant it was generated for.

If something isn't working

The public link goes nowhere, or shows an error

The course's Status is probably Archived. Set it back to Published on the Course Settings tab.

There's no link icon on a participant's row

A direct access link can only be generated for someone who already has an attempt on record for this course. Someone with no history yet should use the public link instead.

A participant's access link stopped working

It's likely past its one-week validity. Generate a new one from the same row — it'll issue a fresh link.

What next

Most courses aren't shared on their own at all — they're added to a bundle and participants reach them from there instead.
