HELP / BUNDLES / BUNDLE CERTIFICATES

Bundle certificates

A bundle can hand out its own certificate once a participant finishes every required course inside it — separate from any certificate an individual course inside the bundle might issue on its own.

5 MIN READ UPDATED 4 AUG 2026 DASHBOARD → BUNDLES → CERTIFICATE

BEFORE YOU START

Certificate templates belong to a client, so the Certificate tab is empty until one has been uploaded on that client's own record. The bundle is fine to use without a certificate — you can always come back and assign one later.

Assign a certificate

1

Open the bundle editor's Certificate tab.

2

Choose a template from Certificate issued on completion, or leave it at — None —. Only templates belonging to this bundle's client are listed. If the list is empty, follow the link to set one up on the client record first, then come back.

3

Choose Save Changes.

Only the assigning client's own certificate templates appear in the list.

Who actually receives it

Participants who complete every Required course in the bundle receive the assigned certificate. Optional courses never block it either way. If the bundle includes a Required Other Course, an approved and still-valid upload counts exactly the same as a passed internal course when deciding eligibility.

Downloading a certificate

On the bundle's Results page, the Bundle Cert column shows a certificate icon for every eligible participant, and a dash for everyone else. Choosing the icon generates the PDF the first time it's requested, then offers it straight for download — nothing is pre-generated in bulk before someone actually asks for it.

GOOD TO KNOW

A bundle certificate is entirely separate from any certificate configured on the individual courses inside it. A participant can end up holding both: a certificate for a single course they passed, and — once everything Required in the bundle is done — the bundle's own certificate as well.

A COMMON MISTAKE

Assigning a template and expecting it to appear retroactively for participants who already finished. Nothing is missed — it's just generated on demand the first time it's requested from Results, not the moment eligibility is reached.

If something isn't working

The certificate dropdown is empty

No certificate templates exist for this bundle's client yet. Upload one on the client's own record, then reopen this tab.

There's no Bundle Cert column on Results

No certificate has been assigned on this bundle's Certificate tab. The column only appears once one is.

A participant shows a dash instead of the certificate icon

They haven't yet passed every Required course, or a Required Other Course upload is still awaiting your approval.

What next

A bundle certificate is only as good as the courses required to earn it — and templates themselves live on the client, not the bundle.
